Happy Thursday ladies & gents! Today I want to tell you about a little SF based company called Stitch Fix. I can say ‘little’ now but believe me, they won’t be little for long. Stitch Fix is a revolutionary and exciting new way to shop. Every month they send a personalized package of designer clothing, jewelry & accessories – right to your doorstep!. You can try on what you want at home and send back the rest. Here’s the rundown (seriously, so smart!):

Not only do you get a beautiful selection of items delivered to your doorstep, you also discover new designers and try on new styles in the process. I know that’s definitely the case with me, and a perfect example is the Arkn K blouse pictured below. I never would have grabbed it off a rack and Bloomies, but after putting it on with some black skinnys and nude pumps at home, I’m 100% sold!

Each piece comes with several tags including a Stitch Fix tag, the designer/brand tag and a really cool card/tag with outfit suggestions and brand info. They literally do ALL the work for you! Wondering how they decide what to send you? That’s another cool part! You take a very detailed style quiz which reviews all your sizing, style preferences, likes and dislikes and more. They select items based on your tastes. And although they are not a personal shopping network, it’s almost more fun this way!

Now don’t get me wrong I absolutely love to shop. But this is just one more way to expand your style. It also solves the age old questions we always find ourselves asking in the fitting room – would this look good with that jacket I got at Banana last fall? Is this blouse long enough to wear  with those J. Brand jeans? I wonder if that collar necklace is the right shade of gold to work with this….

For me, being able to try things on at home is HUGE. I literally have closets worth of stuff to mix and match and there is no way I could possibly remember what might go with what. Even if it’s just saving you a return trip to the mall, it’s definitely worth it.

Overall, these ladies have the right idea. They took problems that everybody has when it comes to fashion, and brought us a fun and really exciting solution. And believe me, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting their adorable SF office and these girls work really hard.

What’s the cost of being a member? Free! Yep, that’s right. Stitch Fix doesn’t charge any kind of monthly fee or even shipping. When you schedule a ‘fix’ to go out (on your own time) you are charged $20, and that $20 can go one of two ways. If you buy something(s) from your bag, the $20 is credited towards your purchase. If not, then at least you got to discover some new brands and you can send the fix back for free in a pre-packaged envelope they send along.
