Trend Alert: Beaded Details!

Written by mallorymitchell on Jan 27 2012 in TRENDS

If there’s one thing we know about jewelry, nothing is lost and gone forever. This spring many trends have been revived and brought back to life with amazing new additions. Notably neon jewelry, large chain links and beads! I’m personally most excited about this almost elementary trend of beaded jewelry. We really do go back to the basics with a lot of these pieces and I’m so happy to see designers reach out to the masses this spring. Here are a few of my top picks from all the usual suspects, enjoy!

CAMPARI NECKLACE

1. The Campari Necklace by Stella & Dot

This necklaces is one of my most recent purchases and I am absolutely in love. The multiple strands of acrylic coral beads are interspersed with gold accents, making this an amazing transition piece. Throw it on with a little black dress or some jeans and an oversized white tee!

Beaded Fashion Necklaces

2. The Kate Spade New York ‘Mad for mondrain’ Necklace and The Moon Rising Necklace by Vanessa Mooney

Both of these necklaces fit perfectly into our beaded trend while appealing to two different tastes completely. Kate Spade is all about minimal chic and a bold color palette while Vanessa Mooney brings out the tribal element in this chic layered brass beaded necklace. Two very different looks, love them both!

MICHAEL Michael Kors Multi Chain Turquoise Hook Bracelet

3. MICHAEL Michael Kors Multi Chain Turquoise Hook Bracelet

MK definitely hit a home run with this stunning southwestern style bracelet. Again, a great transition piece for any day to night outfit with a little Santa Fe flare! I especially love how simple he chose to keep the clasp, it adds a touch of elegance but doesn’t overpower the bracelet as a whole. Well done MK!

Vanessa Mooney Fly Girl Earrings

4. Vanessa Mooney Fly Girl Earrings

Last but certainly not least is one of my new favorite designers Vanessa Mooney. Her entire Spring / Summer 12′ collection is filled with eclectic beads, metals and leather. She is so talented! The thing I love most about Vanessa is she takes these somewhat been there, done that trends and totally re-creates them into something spectacular. Her work with metals is like a House of Harlow meets Low Luv meets Alexis Bittar meets Tom Binns mashup… amazing right? Check out her entire collection here.

I hope you all have an amazing Friday, see you next week!

XOXO Mallory
